Lipoic Acid May Help Reduce Fibromyalgia Pain

A recent study published in the journal Pain has shown that LA may help reduce the pain associated with fibromyalgia. The study included a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled crossover trial LA for the treatment of fibromyalgia pain, referred to as the IMPALA trial. The trial included 54 patients with fibromyalgia and found that those who took the LA experienced a significant reduction in their pain levels.

The study also found that there were no significant adverse side effects associated with taking it. These findings suggest that LA may be an effective treatment for reducing the pain associated with fibromyalgia.
